Bengaluru Metro to Launch Outdoor Advertising on Train Coaches

Bengaluru Metro to Launch Outdoor Advertising on Train CoachesThe Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (BMRCL) is set to introduce outdoor advertising on the exterior of its metro train coaches, marking a significant move to boost non-fare revenue. This new initiative will allow advertisers to showcase high-quality ads on the exteriors of trains operating on the Purple Line (Line 1) and Green Line (Line 2), offering a dynamic platform for corporate branding across the city.

BMRCL has invited bids from qualified advertising agencies to secure exclusive advertising rights for a period of seven years. By tapping into the potential of outdoor advertising, BMRCL aims to position Bengaluru Metro as a prime location for corporate campaigns, offering visibility akin to that of global metro systems and world-class airports.

Currently, Bengaluru Metro operates 57 train sets, providing advertisers with a moving platform that promises substantial exposure as trains traverse the city’s bustling routes. This initiative marks an expansion of BMRCL’s advertising efforts, which were previously limited to static and digital ads within stations and train interiors.

This strategic move is expected to not only boost BMRCL’s revenue but also enhance the aesthetic appeal of the trains, giving advertisers a unique opportunity to connect with millions of daily commuters.
