Apple Inc. has announced the appointment of Indian-origin executive Kevan Parekh as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective January 1, 2025. Parekh, who has been with Apple since 2013, succeeds Luca Maestri, marking a notable leadership transition for the tech giant.
Parekh brings over a decade of experience within Apple, having held critical roles such as Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis and Vice President of Finance for Sales, Marketing, and Retail. In these positions, he played a key role in shaping Apple’s financial strategies, overseeing investor relations, and conducting market research, contributing significantly to the company’s growth and product innovation.
Born in 1972, Parekh holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the University of Chicago. Prior to joining Apple, he served in senior leadership roles at Thomson Reuters and General Motors, managing operations across Europe and Asia.
