Meru Life, India’s first ecosystem for active seniors, has appointed Kalpesh Patel as co-founder, Chief Operating Officer (COO), and Head of Technology. Patel brings nearly 30 years of cross-functional technology leadership experience and will be responsible for the company’s operational and technical strategy as it scales the platform for individuals aged 55 and above in India.
Before joining Meru Life, Patel was the Head of Operations at VML Enterprise Solutions (India), and also held the role of Senior Vice President of MarTech at Mirum India, a VML company, where he led the marketing-tech vertical. He directed engineering teams and led successful global digital transformation strategies and projects while building a platform-agnostic delivery model, working in customer experience, engineering, and CRM solutions.
As part of his new position at Meru Life, Patel will guide the technology vision end-to-end, facilitate platform scaling and operations, and create user-centred digital products specifically designed for active seniors in India.
Discussing his role, Patel stated, “When designed with empathy, technology can create the experience of joy, dignity, and simplicity, particularly in later life. I look forward to co-creating intuitive, scalable, and socially purposeful products that serve this vision.”
