Naarayan T V Joins Akasa Air as Chief Marketing OfficerAkasa Air has announced the appointment of Naarayan T V as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), effective August 29, 2025. Alongside leading the airline’s marketing function, he will also serve as a member of the executive committee, playing a pivotal role in shaping the airline’s long-term growth vision.

In his expanded mandate, Naarayan will oversee marketing, corporate communications, ESG initiatives, customer experience, eCommerce, customer loyalty, and partnerships. His appointment comes as Akasa Air pursues an ambitious expansion strategy, with plans to feature among the world’s top 30 global airlines by the end of the decade.

Bringing more than 20 years of cross-industry experience, Naarayan has previously worked with brands across eCommerce, fintech, banking, and consumer goods. At IDFC First Bank, he was instrumental in steering brand communication and sponsorships, while at PayPal, he successfully led the company’s first integrated brand launch in India, significantly accelerating merchant acquisition. His achievements have also earned him recognition, including the DMA Asia Trailblazer Award in 2023.

Commenting on the appointment, Vinay Dube, Founder and CEO of Akasa Air, said the airline’s continued growth will require marketing and customer experience to take center stage, and Naarayan’s expertise in blending creative storytelling with data-driven strategy makes him a strong fit.
