Godrej Agrovet, one of India’s leading agri-business companies, has announced that Sunil Kataria has formally assumed charge as its Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director (CEO & MD), effective September 1, 2025.
Kataria succeeds Balram Singh Yadav, who retired after a remarkable three-decade tenure at the helm of the company. Yadav played a pivotal role in expanding Agrovet’s presence across animal feed, crop protection, oil palm, dairy, and processed foods, laying a strong foundation for future growth.
Bringing with him over two decades of leadership experience, Kataria has previously held senior roles at Marico, Godrej Consumer Products, and Raymond, where he drove business transformation and growth across multiple geographies. Known for his expertise in marketing, sales, and building consumer-driven businesses, his appointment signals Agrovet’s intent to accelerate its growth momentum.
Commenting on the leadership transition, Nadir Godrej, Chairman and MD of Godrej Industries, said: “Sunil has the vision and proven track record to steer Godrej Agrovet into its next phase of growth. His ability to scale businesses in challenging environments makes him the right choice to take the company forward.”
Kataria outlined his priorities as CEO & MD, emphasizing innovation and execution. “Each of our businesses is at a unique stage of evolution. My focus will be to unlock value by enhancing our capabilities, strengthening our go-to-market strategies, and scaling up high-potential ventures,” he said.
